From near-disaster to good purchase
What I bought turned out not to be a good runner. Being a lover of Porsches, I quickly made the initial effort
(tires, etc.)with no luck. Then I remembered I bought a longtail car with Playboy livery at a hobby shop that was getting rid of them for a song- due to the same ridiculous livery I was checking for possible parts car among my less-than-desirable lot. Then I discovered that the playboy car was actually a longtail Porsche 917! This car runs quite well, and was a perfect fit for my Porsche chassis. BINGO! I now have beautiful car I remember from the '70s that runs like a top. What started out as a black eye for Fly ended up as an example of bad luck turned good.

"Perfect Safety Car".
1 of 1 found this helpful I actually got this car to perform the duties of a Safety Car for my digital club racing. The face that is has lights blazing and siren wailing makes it all the more fun! Not only that, but the car is fast, too!

The answer to my analog search
This is a controller that I bought to replace one of the analog controllers from my original Scalextric set. I wanted this controller rather than the new ones with a 'governor' to keep kids from wrecking the cars by driving too fast or reckless. No kids will be running these cars, so I wanted the original items for my analog racing. This is what I wanted, and I am happy!
