Brown & Sharpe 622 made in England
This is regarding the newer B&S 622 made in England. I own about a bunch of surface gages including a Providence 622, Kingstown 622, various Starrett 257 and 57 series, a 56, Lufkin 520, a 521, a couple of B&S 621...you get the idea. This 622 is the best of all and not by a small margin. At almost 5lbs with beautifully ground surfaces, I've yet to use a surface gage as rigid and fine as this one. Changed my expectations.
