Works as expected

Good value entertainment
Although getting old, these procedural crime dramas are still engaging and good value. Sometimes the DVD mastering is not great, so one of my discs would not play in the computer drive, but only in a DVD player with the TV.
There are no subtitles which was a shame, and I found the part 1/2/3 markers a bit unnecessary. Also if you play these through your computer (I used VLC) you might have to switch off deinterlacing as this can create a staircase effect through the picture.
Video and Audio are par for a 1990 series. Quite watchable but don't expect HD clarity.
Personally I do prefer Tim Piggot-Smith in the role, although the later Martin Shaw portrayal is still good (Although I think he really gets into his stride as Judge John Deed). For the price I pay (around £6) I think its good value.
