Great buy at a great price
Very smooth runner and great at slow speeds. Nice detail especially the silver trucks. Very good pulling power, easily pulled a 6 car 15" aluminum passenger car set.

"Ole Faithful"!!
There is something to be said about the durability, design, simplicity, and performance of a 65 year old toy steam engine. Not to wax nostalgic, but after a hectic work day or week when you look for release that is healthy and not harmful to your body or your wallet, the last thing you want is for something hi-tech electronic not to work. Whether it is locked in neutral because of a bad board or chip or some spike fried something else that will cost $150-200 to fix, let alone rubber traction tires stretching out and rolling off. This is American made and engineered from a time when that meant something that is as reliable as there is. Simply put, it does what you want, when you want, for as long as you want, over and over and over. A little oil or lube here and there periodically and you'll be good to go for another 20-30 years.
