So far looks good. Runs well.
V1 inflator/deflator was delivered to the house within 24 hours. I got it for the inflatable kayaks.
When I first saw how small it is I felt like it was not going to work very well. But the housing is a very strong sturdy plastic so I decided to give it a try.
I haven't inflated anything yet but I went to plug it into the car jack. Then I realized that it has no on/off switch.
It's direct wired so it runs when plugged in and you unplug it to turn it off. I will probably unplug the cord from the unit itself.
When I plugged it in I was surprised by how fast it runs and how strong the airstream is. For such a small unit it sure does move some air.

Mine is not very good.
1 of 1 found this helpful I really liked my Nikon S 8100, but it would not focus well in much zoom was used.
This S 9050 model doesn't like to focus in any conditions. I just don't understand it.
I'm so glad that I switched from the 10X S 8100 to the Panasonic Lumix ZS 19. Now I'm spoiled. The Panasonic is an actual "point and shoot" camera.
Then I find this N.I.B. Nikon S 9050 at a pawn shop for next to nuthin and thought I'd try it out. I can't even sell it to one of my friends because it would ruin the friendship.
I might be able to give it to my Brother in Law as a Christmas gift though. Yeah, Hey Bobby, I got you a nice camera.
It's too bad, because I like Nikon usually. Just NOT THIS Nikon.

I Wanna Go Shoot Something. But throw the case away.
3 of 3 found this helpful I may revise to 5 stars after I use this awhile.TAA DAAA! 5 Stars. I saw a reviewer complain about flash washing out subject. I like what I get with the flash turned off. This camera is great in low light thanks to the CMOS sensor.Be careful not to place your finger on top of the flash when it needs to open. You have to depress the shutter half way to focus and open the flash first so that doesnt happen. I usually am bragging about how Great my cheap camera is and how it performs so well, while making excuses for this or that. I dont feel like I have to brag about a Nikon. Of course its good.
My Camera came with a nice leather case. NICE that is, except for the MAGNETIC CLASP to hold it closed. Someone might call me paranoid, and wonder why I am even mentioning this in my review ,but I seriously am totally against putting magnets in close proximity with my digital electronic equipment. Even a remote chance that the magnet could erase a line or more of code from the O/S is not worth taking the risk. This free case goes into the circular file.
The Manual, while it comes on a CD ROM , I was able to create a New Folder on my computers desktop and just slide the files (including the index) from the CD to the folder. Now I can see the manual when I want without fussing with the CD. Its not hard to do. If you try to download the manual from the website, Itll cost you $10. This camera just feels great in my XL hands. The surface feels grippy like its rubberized paint or something. There is also a thumb grip on the top right corner to help hold it. I dropped my Casio, because it was hard to hold, Neccessitating this purchase.--- In Video mode ,as might be expected with a 1080 recorder,It uses alot of memory. You can set it to a lower resolution, But I bought a 16GB,Class10 SDHC card.Shots cycle into this card very quickly. Also in video, you can zoom in and out.The zoom is slow in video mode. That way the viewer doesnt get seasick when watching something.
Oh yeah, the display is so awesome. Bright, and colorful, 3 inch, 921,000 dot ultra high resolution clear color display , The best Ive seen.
Battery life seems to be very good. I bought two batteries with charger off EBAY for $10. so batteries dont have to charge in the camera. BTW, these batteries are better than the one that came with the unit.
Focusing is very good except in very low light. But the screen lets you know that its not focused with RED [ ] around the subject. The shutter doesnt trip when its red. If theyre green, the camera was able to focus. If the subject is washed out, you should move back a little and zoom in a bit and presto, warm colors. But, my S8100 isnt taking many bad shots. I am really impressed with the great focus when doing a macro shot. I use it to show customers the condition of small piano parts that need replaced and document completed work. Its hard to argue with a picture.
When using the timer, remember to set to the time you want and PRESS OK.in fact when changing most settings, you have to PRESS OK,or the camera reverts to origional setting.Remember this and you will do well my friend.
There are not a lot of gimmicky shooting modes like make up or oil painting like I found on the Casio EXH5, but this isnt a toy camera.
The Viewing/Editing software that came with it makes any picture in your computer look much better. Wow. This camera is making shooting fun again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CAMERA
