Great upgrade for the yeasu md100
It's an easy swap requiring a bit of soldering. The install takes about 10 minutes for a novice. I recommend using a small drill bit through the portion of the microphone where you have two pass two small wires to make the install easier but it's not absolutely necessary. This modification to the element makes your microphone for the yeasu sound like an amplified microphone. No need to raise your gain high in order to sound loud.
Fyi. The seller accidentally sent me the element for a md1 which wasn't the correct one but after i messaged him, he shipped the one for the md100 right away. The element is round inside a square plastic frame. The instructions must say that it's for the md100. If not, contact the seller but this is a must have for the md100.
