In this day and age of unregulated retailing you can't beat the price
It works great in bright sunlight, or bright overcast. Any thing else it has autofocus problems under less light especially at full zoom

Depends on the type of rails you have
It depends on the type of rails you have. The part that fits over the rails would probably work on round rails - they don' t work so great on the archive boxes I have but I haven't gotten around to it yet
