best of breed, great update for iron age ignitions
what gasoline engine is designed to survive the apocalypse? The Slant 6. What is it's weak link? The ignition. A Jurassic points n condenser that will continue to fire away, degrade in performance, require adjustments, "fall off the cliff" at the most random moments, say: in the middle of the desert. Pertronix provides a hotter, more stable, spark all the time always without having to mess with it. Yes it is electronic. yes it will eventually fail unexpectedly because (just like all electronics) those components eventually degrade. But that's why you keep a spare one on hand, and/or some points and condensers. This is my 2nd Pertronix for a pre-1980s engine. Also both are the simpler 1st gen Pertronix. Ingenious devices. They... just... work. And on stock distributors.

Thank you Sony mega-engineering prowess of days past
if you don't mind having a HUGE BRICK of a camera like an 80s Dad Cam, this is the video camera for you. With a cheap SxS to SD adapter it will record to SD cards.
That big Super35/APS sized sensor with bleeding edge (for its time) speedy sensor readout, and stellar color science gives you a gorgeous HD image after a few minor tweaks. This thing makes pretty pictures.
