Good sights for the money.
1 of 1 found this helpful The sights are solidly built of aluminum. They are a bit more bulky than is necessary, but not so bulky so as to be a problem mounting the rear sight between the deflector and the operating handle. More machining could reduce the mass and weight of the sights, but that would also increase costs. Sights lock down and out of the way and spring into place at the press of a button. But sights do NOT lock into the "up" or "active" position. They are held in this upright position by spring tension only. I do not know how long the springs will consistently hold the sights in the upright position to any degree of precision, but so far so good. Given the inability to lock in the upright position, I will not give 5 stars. Suitable for back-up work in a pinch, but not exactly suited for precision since the springs cannot guarantee a precise zero each time they are deployed. Probably dependable enough for minute of bad guy accuracy but not minute of angle.

Great value!
Sights are solid aluminum and finished well. A bit bulky and blocky, but more material removal or machining would just increase costs. Using Weaver Grand Slam high rings (to allow good cheek weld on an AR), the rear sight sits low enough on the rail to fit under the ocular bell of a typical 3-9x40 scope between the brass deflector and the charging handle, allowing for a long sight radius. Sights give a clear, crisp picture. They are not spring-loaded (no push button release), so they must be manually rotated up or down into place. But crisp, strong ball bearing detents click the sights into place hold them in place better than sights that use only spring tension (button release) to deploy. I always worry about a zero shift with push bottom types that don't actually lock when deployed. I have not zeroed the sights yet, so I can't comment yet on how well they adjust and hold adjustments.

These scopes are awesome for rimfire shooting.
I have mounted these scopes on every rimfire I own from .22LR to .17HMR and .22WMR. For the price, they can’t be beat. The 14 power magnification lets you aim small at 1” dots at 50 and 100 yards so much better than 9 power scopes do yet the 4 power option still lets you keep a larger field of view for hunting applications. The adjustable objective is a must for maintaining parallax free, clear images through all distances. I have mounted these scopes on .223 and .308 rifles with no failures of any kind, but I’ve moved them back to my rim-fires due to the AO feature. Excellent scope value.
