This boom pole has a very rigid feel to it. The knobs feel a little clumsy but not in a bad way. I like having the xlr plugs on top and bottom which shortens cables and gets rid of cables bumping the pole (BIG PROBLEM I've seen). The question will see how well the cables last inside the pole, which, if it does, will mean I have to send it to get it repaired, or I have to go back to the old way of running cables alongside the extension, I'd say if you can find this for $175, you found yourself a pretty good deal. I found mine for $100, what a steal!
