RC4WD Warn 9.5 CTI Winch with Integrated Front Bumper with LED lights for TRX 4 RC trucks
This RC4WD bumper winch set comes complete with enough hardware to replace the Traxxas TRX 4 stock plastic bumper and mock winch. First I figured out to center the winch on the new bumper using the holes provided in both the bumper and the steel plate provided. I used the inner most plate holes. The four hex head screws and nuts very securely fastened it to
the bumper. I used Locktite 222 on all hardware to prevent them from vibrating loose over time. Its not an easy build sequence with screws this tiny, and I don’t want to have to do this again. Next I cut the protruding screws down flush to the nuts underneath the bumper, using a Dremel cut off wheel. Otherwise the excess screw length would prevent the frame extension rods from lining up with the bumper mounting holes. I ended up using the round frame extensions as the square ones were a bit short to allow the winch to clear the radiator grille. I then attached the LEDs to their bumper opening using the supplied light holders and screws. The winch comes with two electrical connectors. One for the Warn winch and another for a Bulldog winch if you happen to have one. I had my local RC shop custom make and replace the Molex power connector for the main DC power with a Traxxas style blade connector to plug directly into my Defenders receiver. This made for a very clean plug and play wiring harness. The red tow hook lugs on the bumper are a nice touch and overall I am very happy with the appearance and excellent black anodized finish. I dipped the winch receiver box in liquid electrical tape and let it dry overnight. This makes it completely waterproof. I then used automotive double sided trim tape to attach the winch receiver box to the front steering servo. The winch worked perfectly with supplied key fob and is powerful enough to easily get my truck out of any situation. I am extremely pleased with how this turned out and can handily recommend it.

3975R Motor
This motor was to replace my original motor in my TRX6. It lasted two and a half years. Water crossings and rock climbing twice weekly. More than I expected from a $20 motor.
