Quiet Quality

Killer antenna, but will it last?
1 of 1 found this helpful My site signal analysis from TV Fool suggested poor reception on 2 or 3 stations. I drilled a hole in a block of wood and used it as a temporary antenna base to test the operation. Set this $56 Lava HD 2605 TV antenna on a 1' long mast out on the root cellar roof by reaching through the dining room window, and pointed the thing more or less in the direction of the transmitters the TV Fool website had mapped out. I got 10 channels, including the OPB transmitter that is fifty miles away over several ridges. The picture is great on all of them. The only question is, how long will it last with the plastic construction? It looks like I will just leave it on the side roof which will keep it out of the sun, It also had some water in it after sitting out in the rain; this is not a water-proof design. May drill a drain hole...
