MB Quart 6 x 9" Rear Speaker Soundbar Mounting, Jeep Wrangler & Gladiator Tuned

Poor Design

Although the basic dimensions are there, The 6x9 mounting frame is does not match either pair of 6x9 speakers I have. Both brands ( JBL & Fosgate) failed to line up to the 4 mounting holes on the mounting plate requiring me to drill 2 new holes per plate....Not so bad, however the 2 holes that did match have nuts tack welded to the plate that appear strong.....They are decidedly not. I snapped both off the first plate requiring me to re-adjust the speakers and re-drilling so the remaining two would match up. Welp I snapped a third and decided to break the 4th off and just rivet the speakers to the plates. Once installed, I have a sever rattle that I could not find. After removing the mounts, utilizing silicone adhesive and reinstalling, The rattle remained. Turns out the speaker cover which is held in place by the stock screws on the Jeep gladiator only really secure the ends leaving the center to flex just enough to vibrate against the sides of the sound bar. Extremely annoying and disappointing. I will again remove the plates to see if I can apply enough adhesive to the covers to stop the rattle. Some type of soft gasket should be included in the kit to avoid this issue. The plates should also be modified to fit multiple mounting needs to make installation smoother.
