Does the job, but pricey for a bit of bent metal. But they all are, not just this one.

I'm pleased with the brackets. They lock my ladders up effectively. My only gripe is the price which seems a lot of money for a few pieces of bent metal. However, not just these ones, but all I've found for sale.

Don't give a good sense of security

The good and the bad. Good - they work and are advertised as waterproof. Bad - The casing is plastic, and they don't feel very robust. The mechanism is a bit weird, with you needing to press a button to release the loop once the combination is set. They don't give a good sense of security.

Brilliantly engineered to be easy to use and last a lifetime

Bought this for my son. I've had a similar Bulldog Fork and Spade for over 40 years, and are still working brilliantly. Well balanced and not heavy to use. Steel is good, better than stainless; I had a Wilkinson Sword stainless steel garden fork which snapped after only a few months.
