It works.
If you get the bar tight against the door frame you don't have to use the hardware that comes with it. By tight I mean till the wood creaks. I weigh 150 pounds and the bar supports my weight easily. You will have to turn the center part of the bar, not just the part that extends.

Buy anything else
The cover will twist all the way under the saddle due to the velcro straps not being strong enough.
