Better then expected...Mind Warping Horror Fun!
2 of 2 found this helpful I thought I would try another Rob Zombie film to re-affirm my likes and dislikes about his movie-making style, influences and horror techniques. This movie truly is a work of psycho-horror art. I was thoroughly impressed with its' out-landish yet somehow believeable theme and mind warping mental patient family that gracefully enflicts so much terror and pain happily upon the lives of the casual passers-by of their humble estate. This is my favorite Rob Zombie film to date, and one of my all time favorite horror flicks ever. I consider myself fairly critical about the films I watch and I usually judge them pretty harshly but if you look for the psychotic despondency of the family and victims in this movie, the fun loving spirit that is ripped away from the youngsters that are entrapped in this madhouse and past the strange atmosphere of the movie you may get it too. Great show - Watch it, and don't just see it - feel it!
