Does well under good lighting
Not all clock cams are created equal and this does the job pretty well. Another clock cam I bought was absolute garbage and couldn't even record under well lit conditions. This one captures video clearly as long as the subject is lit. Didn't test IR recording and didn't want to. Quality has to be based on the fact that it's limited by the size of the lens it's able to carry. Big lens makes for better videos but also makes it more noticeable. Sound quality isn't good, but that's not a big deal for me so I only took off 1 point.

Good but not worth $200
Pros: Good design, Symbian UIQ3 interface looks pretty, kick-slider makes the phone unique, high quality video capture, uses an ordinary mini-USB cable to connect to the PC like other Motorola phones
Cons: Relatively heavy, poor battery life, the interface is a little sluggish, the kick-slider makes closing the phone difficult using one hand, the built-in music player does not have a fast forward/back feature (very annoying for long MP3s), not much software yet for UIQ3 (for example, software for text entry in languages other than the ones included in the phone, which are all European by the way)
Overall: worth the money if sold for $150 or below, at $200 or above it's not that good of a deal. This is supposed to be a multimedia phone, but the music player doesn't even have fast forward....

Broke after a few uses
The plastic clamps that hold the phone in place broke after a while, so it's difficult to hold the phone in place now
Also the cradle doesn't lock onto the hooks in the back very well, so if you use your phone in landscape mode, the cradle can slip out when you make turns. So portrait mode is the only way to use this.
There's no screw to expand or contract the grip that slides into the CD slot, so maybe if you have a very small CD slot, this won't work.
