Worked OK on my JT-3 arbor and chuck!
1 of 1 found this helpful I apologize for my lack of knowledge of the names of drill press parts.
I have a Rigid drill press that has a JT-3 tampered arbor (I think it's called arbor). I needed to remove the aftermarket chuck from the arbor so I ordered this wedge set for JT-3 arbors. There is a recess on the arbor, above the chuck that these wedges are supposed to fit in/around, opposing each other. The bottom wedge pushes against the chuck and the top pushes against the upper arbor shaft as you lightly tap them together the chuck is forced off.
These seem to be very well made and they did work but the opening is to large for this JT-3 taper. The recess on the arbor is .71" the upper arbor is .88" and the opening in the wedges is .84". It was very difficult to keep these aligned and apply pressure without damaging the upper arbor. They did cause some damage and could be avoided if the opening was smaller so they fit tightly around the arbor indent. Just some information/advice.

AWESOME for home owner and pro alike! Well made, quality product!!
The product is Great! Excellent quality and works great for indexing your bits. Highly recommend this! Way better than plastic.
I have several of these. My tip is to use a black permanent marker and rub the ink into the indexing markings, let this dry and then use a SLIGHTLY dampened cloth with rubbing alcohol to wipe the ink off the flat surfaces. Leaving the ink in the indented markings! SOOOO MUCH easier to see. You can use it as is or do like I do and spray it with lacquer to protect the ink.
