Not necessarily beneficial for a better understanding of the book itself.
The Discipline of Grace book itself is great! It does a good job of pointing out how much a believer needs to consider what God has done for him/her in the provision of the atoning sacrifice of Christ. Each chapter of the study guide is designed to go along with a chapter of the book. The study guide repeats large sections of the actual text from the book, which I find to be unnecessary if you are using the study guide in conjunction with the book. While some of the questions are helpful and soul searching, some of them are ambiguous and/or not so relevant as to be helpful. My study group finds it more beneficial to read the chapter at home and fill out the corresponding chapter in the study guide individually, but during the times that we meet to discuss the chapter we generally stick to the book format and only occasionally bring up a question from the study guide. I personally feel that the study guide does not add a great deal to understanding or discussing the concepts of the book.

Come of Feel Mr. Stevens' Illinoise
2 of 3 found this helpful A friend of mine recently introduced me to Sufjan's album, Illinois. After hearing just two or three tracks, I was really impressed by the quality of the music and promptly bought the cd.
I have not been disappointed. There is not one song that I dislike (an uncommon occurrence). Sufjan Stevens' music is fresh and catchy--however, the lyrics have substance. This music is not fluff, but it is still fun.
I am making a point of introducing other people to this album. The responses have thus far been very positive.

A good investment for the price!
I HATE waking up in the morning. I think I was born that way. The ability to have much softer, more natural sounds gently signaling time to get up has made it so much more pleasant. I am not a technological genius, and I found this clock very easy to set and program by following the directions. I really like the fact that when you turn it off when you get up you don't have to reset it for the next day. I also like the fact that it is small and compact and fits easily on my small night table. I'd buy it again!
