Great Film But Disappointingly Mastered Transfer

Classic film bought on Blue Ray as the visuals on my DVD copy were rather ropey and I hoped for way better resolution and tonal rendering, bringing the landscapes and interiors to life. Sadly there is only a marginal improvement when viewed on 1080hd plasma, obviously from the same master as the dvd. Still a great film though.
