Lab Adjustable DC Power Supply Precision Variable Digital Voltage 0-10A 0-30V US

works well on all my projects (well, everything 30V and under, but that's as advertised!)
Good: price is right, works as advertised.
Bad: comes with super cheap alligator clips (once replaced, no complaints at all).

bells should make noise
When screwed down tightly enough to keep it from slipping around the handle bar, it doesn't make the sound it's supposed to (it's muffled/muted), and when left loose enough to make the appropriate dinging, it slips around the handle bar and can't always be accessed. In either case the dinging isn't very loud to begin with, which defeats the purpose of having a noise-maker on your bike. It is very inexpensive, but that's only a deal if you're getting something that functions at least well enough to do the job it's intended for. It does look smart, and it's pretty unobtrusive, but those don't make up for it taking up even a little handlebar space w/o accomplishing it's purpose.

works fine for as long as the battery lasts
All features work as advertised, no complaints there. Only real problem is that the charge doesn't last a week, even when only used for less than an hour during that whole week (we don't go out or stay out before dawn/after dusk all that often). Unfortunately this is a real problem as it means I have to charge it pretty much every time I want to use it, or simply plug in an external battery whenever I need it, since the external battery will hold a charge for weeks at a time w/o a problem. Likely a problem of using cheap battery cells that have a high self-discharge rate, so probably easily fixed, but not worth the attempt or shipping it back for a replacement.
