Does the job. No Complaints
Had the 9470 for about 18 months, hardwired into my car. I have no complaints about its performance. Just completed a drive from Houston to Gallup, NM (1K miles), and it worked flawlessly. Picked up hidden speed trap at over 2 miles range. Love the ability to turn off X band. Working the Waze app together with this detector is a perfect travel combination. I highly recommend this item. Been into detectors since the 80's, and this is my favorite. If you prefer to drop $1,000 on a wiz-bang model, go for it. This one works just fine for sub-$100. I have read reviews by the occasional Chowder Head that like to bitch about 'driving by a cop and it didn't go off'. Really? Maybe they should invest in a POLICE CAR DETECTOR. Don't review equipment that you cannot understand.

Great for the purchase price
1 of 1 found this helpful Does the job well. Doesn't have all the fancy features of the $300+ models, but I could care less. Range is good and the face is large enough to see well (a feature some detectors lack)

Its a Guessing Game
Nice and compact, but it would be nice to have actual instructions on how to wire it. I blew up my last dash cam from plugging into a 12V and it was only a 5V. The cam itself comes with nothing but exposed wire and not even a suggestion of how to attach it. One ground and two power wires. The cam only works with both power wires attached to the same contact (after much trial and error). The graph showing you what each lit up color means didn't offer an explanation for flashing lights. Its completely zero-brand name, so trying finding something about it online is a waste of time. UPDATE: Discovered the camera films only 3 minutes with each startup, and nothing after that. Seller has no idea how to fix it. This camera is junk
