The way the future looked.
For a generation, Bonestee's imaginative yet detailed artwork congealed our image of what the Space Age would be like -- and who wouldn't want to go there? Time has passed, but many of his paintings still hold it. And, like the novels of Jules Verne, they might be outdated, but they're still entertaining. This is a good review of the oeuvre.
