Well-refined design
2 of 2 found this helpful Marantz has been building on the same platform for years now. It's a solid design with the priorities in the right place. I replaced an SR5007 with an SR5008, and I can honestly say the SR5008 is noticeably better, both in sound quality and software reliability.

Helpful as a backup
I normally use a much newer, much faster PC graphics card. I keep this GT120 on hand in case I need the apple EFI boot screen. Since it's single-slot and low power, I can run both cards at the same time.

Not genuine leather. Not as good as stock.
The material is not real leather. It does look good, but I'm not confident it will last very long. The latch didn't work on mine, but I still had a working latch from the original arm rest, so that wasn't too big of a deal. Lastly, the foam is thin and weak compared to stock.
Overall, unless you have broken plastic, you're better off buying a new cover for your original armrest than buying this unit. It takes longer to remove the armrest than it does to re-wrap it with new leather or vinyl anyway, so this wouldn't save you much time.
