IT WORKED WITH SOME WORK
THE COMPRESSOR / CLUTCH ASSEMBLY IS EXCELLENT. YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE. I DID RUN INTO ONE ISSUE THAT CAUSED ME SOME EXTRA WORK. BUT AS ALWAYS, A LITTLE ELBOW GREASE AND ALL IS WELL. ON THIS VERSION OF COMPRESSOR, THE FREON LINES HOOK TO THE SIDE OF THE COMPRESSOR AND ARE SEALED WITH O-RINGS. ONE BOLT IN THE CENTER OF THE MANIFOLD THAT CONNECTS TO THE SIDE OF THE COMPRESSOR. THERE IS A DOWEL IN BETWEEN THE PORTS ON THE COMPRESSOR THAT LINE THE MANIFOLD UP SO BOTH PORTS WILL ALIGN CORRECTLY. THE DOWEL ON THE COMPRESSOR I BOUGHT HAD BEEN MUSHROOMED BY PREVIOUS INSTALLATIONS. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT AND REPAIRED AT THE MANUFACTURER. I COULD NOT PULL THE LINES UP TO THE SIDE OF THE COMPRESSOR AND SEAL THE O-RINGS TO SAVE MY SOLE. A LITTLE ENGINEERING TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM AND THE COMPRESSOR IS WORKING JUST FINE. THIS IS A KNOCK OFF
CHECK HITACHI'S WEB SITE. IT SPECIFICALLY TELLS YOU HOW TO IDENTIFY A KNOCK OFF. I WISH I HAD READ IT BEFORE BUYING THIS UNIT. WHEN I TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX, IT WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT WHAT IT WAS ADVERTISED TO BE. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF GRIEF ...... DO THE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY

NOT MADE FOR ADULTS
I was looking for a high impedance head set to use with my Heathkit radios. Requirements for Heathkit are very high impedance and they use a mono plug. This headset is about as high
impedance as you can get without spending a few hundred dollars. I wanted to try them and
see if they would do what I needed. Unfortunately, the ear cups are not big enough for an adult.
Please understand, they are not advertised as being for adult use but for the price, it was
worth a try. I will continue to use these for testing and repair of my radios but I doubt I'll use
them for extended wear. Construction is good. Sound quality is also good. The supplier I bought from was top notch. I have no complaints terms of the purchase experience and the quality of
the headset. Just wish the cups were bigger. Thanks
