About
My problem is I have too many hobbies! Hornby trains, Meccano, canal boats, nuclear bunkers (the photo is of me emerging from one!), even geiger counters. I use EBay to buy things for my collections and sell off surplus items, sometimes for friends.

An excellent book for the TT enthusiast
Having only started collecting Tri-ang TT recently, I found this book extremely useful in identifying what I was buying, and showing me which items were rareties. I particularly liked the section that identified common damage found on a number of items, so you know where to look when buying. The photographs are excellent, and the book is generally well written and very readable. A few grammatical and spelling errors let it down just a little, but overall I would recommend this book.

An excellent product with many different uses.
Amazing value for money. Needed to adjust the speed of a 12V engine compartment ventilation fan in my boat - this does the job admirably.

Excellent for measuring max and min temperatures over several days.
This is the second of these I've bought - I somehow managed to mislay the first! They excel in one particular function - the minimum and maximum values are only reset by pressing the button. Almost every other similar device I've found resets the values every 24 hours. I use them in a long thin canal boat that I like to keep above freezing over the winter, using electric heaters. I only visit every week or two in the winter, so I can check I've got the heater thermostats set correctly by measuring the lowest temperature the furthest point from the heaters gets down to.
