  I recently purchased an iPhone 12, but unfortunately, the seller shipped it in a locked state. When I reached out to the seller directly, they refused to provide the Apple ID required to unlock the device. I raised the issue with eBay, and they clarified that selling a locked iPhone is not legal. eBay is now working with the seller to facilitate a return. Ebay issued fedex return label. While disappointed with the initial experience, I appreciate eBay’s efforts to resolve the issue.
