Very good everyday Type I ferric oxide cassette tape
TDK D is a tried-and-true Type I ferric oxide cassette tape. Record and playback performance is quite good. For recording purposes, the TDK D oxide formulation is compatible with a wide range of tape decks and recorders. The mechanism quality is pretty good though lightweight. The tape pack is smooth, it's generally a dependable product.

Good general music recording cassette
Good cassette for general music recording. The tape pack is smooth, the mechanism decent quality, very few tape dropouts. Compared with a 2000s-era TDK B C-60s, TDK B C-60s are about 20% lighter. Using a deck with computer auto calibration for recording, I obtained good results. Maximum recording level is lower than TDK D, you may hit distortion if you record above Dolby level, but noise level and transparency is good. This tape is good enough to obtain good results with Dolby NR.
