Love it!!!
It always amazes me how claymation can capture such emotion & different facial expressions in Gromit--I don't often laugh out loud @ movies, but I did when I watched these....Clever stories & subtle British wit; I highly recommend this DVD!!!

Interesting, if Confusing...
1 of 1 found this helpful Altho' I'm not especially a big fan, I thought Tom Cruise delivered a good performance as playboy wealthy publisher David Aames, whose experiences blur the line between fantasy & reality. Throughout the movie, David has vivid nightmares that he can't seem to reconcile & eventually breaks down. In the midst of all the chaos, David meets & falls in love with struggling artist Penelope Cruz after a brief dalliance with Cameron Diaz, who begins stalking him. Jason Lee plays his best friend & as David's life/dreamlife becomes increasingly intertwined, he doesn't know who to trust, nor does he know what is real/what isn't real. Kurt Russell plays a supporting role as his psychiatrist. I'd say that _Vanilla Sky_ is worth watching, but it is confusing & frustrating much of the time, altho' there is a payoff/resolution in the end.

Great Thriller!
3 of 3 found this helpful I saw this movie years ago when it 1st came out in the 90's & I really liked it--I couldn't remember all the details, but it was definitely just as good the 2nd time around. Sigourney Weaver delivers a remarkable performance as a retired forensic psychologist that is currently suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder & severe agoraphobia after a near-death experience with a serial killer. After deadending several times, Holly Hunter & Dermot Mulroney (both of whom are also excellent) as the detectives that enlist the help of Sigourney Weaver's character to try to catch the latest psychopathic murderer. It's a riveting story; well-acted, directed & filmed.
