It got stuck

I watched a tutorial on YouTube as no instructions came with this. I sterilised the earrings in boiling water to watch them rust so they are not safe to pierce with, I bought earrings else where (proper surgical steel ones to use with piercing guns) only for the thing to jam and get stuck to my daughter (see picture) I would definitely not recommend
