Good flares but the installation marks are in the wrong place

These flares worked well on my '09 Silverado extended cab 1500. They partially cover the Z71 sticker so I removed that. Heating it with a hair dryer worked well to soften the adhesive enough to pull it off easily. The instructions say to drill holes in the flares at the marks on the flares then screw them on. This did not work because the marks were in the wrong place. It worked well to clamp the flares in place with C-clamps then drill holes and screw them on. They fit the truck contours well and seem to be made well (except for the drill marks).
