Not especially hard to do, but requires nimble fingers and good eyes.
The Apple Store will place an iPhone 5s battery for $80, but that is more than I was willing to spend on fixing an older phone. I'm not afraid to dig inside electronics and there are several excellent tutorials on YouTube (including some by iFixIt), so I decided to go for it.
The kit arrives with two inner boxes, one with the battery and adhesive strips, and one with variety of well-designed tools.
The hardest part was prying off the screen, which has to be done gingerly in order to avoid ripping the home button cable.
Once inside, there are five microscopic screws that need to be removed, so be advised that if you have poor eyesight or clumsy fingers, this might not be a task you'll want to attempt. Aside from that, the operation is fairly straightforward and not especially difficult. You just remove a few cover plates, disconnect some cables from logic boards, and peel off some gooey adhesive strips. Likewise, final reassembly is equally easy.
I've read that aftermarket batteries can be a bit hit or miss, so the real question is if this product worth the effort. The answer is YES. My phone fired right up and I immediately checked my battery health app. The OEM battery was registering about 60% and the new iFixIt battery registers 100% heath, as it should!

I didn't expect this amp to be THIS good!
2 of 2 found this helpful I was skeptical that such a cheap little amp would be decent, but it is astoundingly good, particularly for such short bread! It has a very lively character with quick transients, yet it isn't especially bright or aggressive. Backgrounds are perfectly quiet too, no hum or hiss.
It's doing a wonderful job of driving my Grado SR80i's, I've never heard such full, deep, tight, and textured bass from these cans before.
Imaging is excellent as well, with wide separation and vivid depth of field. I am VERY impressed.

One of the rare true bargains in hifi!
1 of 1 found this helpful I was curious to try bi-wiring my Spendor SP3/1R2's, so I bought these, replacing a set of much more expensive Kimber 4TC's, single-wired with 4TC jumpers. The improvement over the Kimbers was substantial. Better clarity from top to bottom, better imaging vividness, tighter bass grip and slam, and fuller and more lifelike body. I liked them so much I ordered another set for use in my bedroom system.
