For BMW Z3 E36 Outside Wing Door Mirror Spindle Repair Fix RHD Drivers Off Side

The sensible option.

I am really pleased with this product. In the time I have owned my z3, the mirrors have never folded in, owing to the standard corrosion issue. After considering the options, I brought the X8r replacement. It represented excellent value for money; at under £95 it cost less than half the price of the bmw replacement part. In addition, the way it is finished means that, whilst you can paint it if you wish, you do not have to. My z3 is black, and the black plastic of the spindle base looks perfectly at home sandwiched between the rubber foot and colour coded body of the mirror. Also as the advert states, this one will never suffer from the corrosion of the oem part. I did find that I had to adapt the fitment method slightly from the technique mentioned in the tutorial. The hinge was to stiff for me to operate prior to bolting it to the car, so I had to fit it to the car before fixing the outer body to the spindle. Other than that I give it 5 out of 5. For me it is the more sensible option over oem. I will be back for the passenger side one soon.
