Artista O Scale man sitting backward on a chair
Arttista #1265 is a pewter figure of a man sitting backward on a chair. The figure and chair are both painted and have a realistic look. Arttista figures feature realistic colors but are not superdetailed as far as the painting goes. But the overall effect is excellent for use on a model layout or diorama. This particular figure even appears to have an 'attitude' and adds visible character to a model scene.
The product is durable if not dropped onto a hard floor or other object where the weight might cause something to break or chip. When used by adults and older children, there should be no problem (these are scale figures, not toys).

Arttista Railroad Freight Agent
1 of 1 found this helpful 1/4" scale model figure of "railroad freight agent" is well made and appears appropriate to scale. Materials are of some metal like pewter and painted with appropriate colors. This figure, like others by Arttista have somewhat drab and utilitarian colors, yet they work outstandingly well on my model layout. Arttista figures are heavy when compared to plastic figures, yet most can 'stand' on their own on a layout or are easily mounted on a piece of clear plastic or right on the scene.
Price tends to me higher, sometimes much higher than many plastic figures. They are usually sold individually rather than in bags or small groupings.
Arttista figures come in a wide variety and more are added over time. They display well on a model railroad layout or when used in a diorama display. They are made in the USA.

Diecast "O" scale EM-1 boiler.
Very nicely done diecast (heavy) B&O EM-1 boiler. Painted with details like handrails, builders plates, pop valves and others. No cab or boiler front but this is a very nice replacement piece or for display and working into a module of a shop scene or even possibly being transported. One of those things I just could not resist even though I am not running EM-1's on my layout.
