Good Sound On the Cheap
The MMF-2 is a very competent entry-level turntable that comes with a good-quality pre-mounted cartridge. It's easy to assemble, set up is a snap, and the sound it produces belies its modest looks. Lows are solid, the mid-range sounds very natural, and the highs are nice and crisp, but not strident. If you're on a budget, this table is a good choice that will give you a lot of bang for the buck.
My only complaint is the turntable mat.....it is more like a dust cloth and should not be used unless you live in Siberia.
Invest a few more dollars in a decent mat upgrade and you will be rewarded in spades. All in all, this table is a fine value
that will have you tapping your toes without emptying your bank account.

High-end blast from the past.
I bought a Sony CDP-707ESD CD player, which was a TOTL model in the late 80s/early90s. It did not come with the remote, which was understandable, but I was able to find one on e-Bay. It is fully functional and works perfectly, but comes from the era when remotes were slightly chunkier than they are now. But it completes the package and makes using the CD player more convenient than using front-panel buttons on the player itself.
