    Sony Pocket Reader
The thing about these readers is that it's not the device, it that they change your world as a reader. The store is now an internet connection away. That is the huge difference. The other one is that you now carry dozens of books around in one little device. Wonderful! Yes, I am an electronic reader fan. It's changed my reading for the better like nothing since learning how to read. Love it! My point is don't get too hung up on the device side of it. It's not the major part. You are going to be thrilled with whatever device you use. Having said that, there are things about the different readers that may enhance your reading experience from one to the other. Size is is the biggest thing for me. I didn't think so at first but I love this pocket reader for that one feature more than all the others. Yes, you give up some screen real estate with he Pocket Reader but that hasn't been a problem for me probably because I always read in the small or medium font (yes, you can size the text for small, medium and large and small and medium are close to what you get on a print book). However, my wife like to read in large charachter mode so I probably wouldn't get the Pocket Reader for her. She has the original six inch reader screen now and when she upgrades, she will go with the larger Reader screen version. I haven't used the touch screen models yet. They make turning pages easier. I am more of a minimalist myself and I see it as ust something else to go wrong. However, it's one thing you should try out before you buy. It's not going to be a big deal one way or the other so don't get too hung up on it. Just something to consider. I do wish Sony had another page turning button on the right side of the Pocket Reader but it's not that big a deal. All and all, I love the size and usability of the Pocket Reader. I read a lot and this just flat out does the job for me. One final comment on the Wireless issue. The Pocket Reader doesn't have this feature and it's never been an issue for me since my laptop is always close by. Also, I don't read the newspaper or magazines via the reader. If you were planning to do so, you probably would be better served by a wireless device and defiantely the biggest screen you could live with. Also, it's my feeling that if you don't have a color display, then you won't like reading magazines in black & white. With newsprint, it will be the pictures and graphics that the small screen doesn't translate well. Not many color devices out there right now and it's a battery life trade off. In summary, if you are an Avid reader and don't own one of these readers you are really missing out. The Sony Reader is has been a real treat for me and I couldn't live without it! Hope this helps. Good reading!
