Yes, within limits
I've used several of these for years, but often with the same problem: Setting the MS16A to recognize my desire for 'night only' seems to work about half the time. This setting is possible, but is not always recognized in use.
Suggestion: change the paper/online information to to say that Lithium-Ion cells will the best, especially for in the cold of winter.
Suggestion and probably a stretch: have the unit preserve its settings for a minute or so when changing the batteries. And see suggestion above to make this a less frequent thing.
