A Versatile, Delicate, Feminine Scent for Any Age!

This perfume smells wonderfully sweet and fruity on my daughter! I do not know if it's as sweet on me (nobody has mentioned) but I have noticed that the dried down scent is much nicer than the scent when you first spray it on. It's neither too teenybopperish nor old lady; not too sweet nor too flowery and isn't soapy; whatever soft fruity notes it has seem to be bottom notes with a middle note of something more like vanilla. A hard scent to describe, but perfect for any age, any time of day! Could be worn during the day at work or in the evening. A very versatile fragrance.
The bad points:
The scent, while strong upon initial application, doesn't seem to last long at all - a problem I have read that everyone seems to have with this scent. A little pricey to have to reapply so often. The bottle is TO DIE FROM!!! Probably the prettiest, coolest perfume bottle I've ever seen. If this scent lasted longer, I'd have given it 5 stars!

Boooooo!!!
I bet, with that headline, you were expecting me to rip this product. Yes? No, of course you weren't. The five star rating gave that away.
My boohoo is about the discontinuation of what I, the long-reigning Queen of Lip Gloss, consider to be the best drugstore gloss of all time. It was never sticky or tacky or too thick, and it never separated or tasted bad or dried out your lips. Cover Girl simply got it right with this formula.
And then it was gone.
WHY, Cover Girl, whyyyyyyy?!?!!! Why would you do away with a perfectly formulated product that wore wonderfully and boasted an array of beautiful shades to complement any skin tone?
Some things never go out of fashion and lip gloss is one of them. While cosmetic trends may volley between matte and sparkle, one constant has always been the desire for soft, kissable lips, and Wetslicks delivered. No one knows this better than those of us who still carry our lip glosses in our back pockets - the same pockets that once proudly and purposefully showcased oversized tubes of Dr Pepper-flavored Lip Smackers as we rolled around the rink to the manufactured beats of Billy Squier. Cover Girl's Wetslicks were the grown up version of the tweeny-bopper lip candies of yesteryear, and they will be sorely and forever missed by this lip gloss junkie.

Smells TERRIBLE!!!
2 of 2 found this helpful Lume quietly changed they formula and added castor oil to it. Castor oil smells like a dirty ashtray. It has a very burned, ashy smell. It's awful. And it's overwhelming. And now ALL the Lume products have this terrible scent. After years of using it faithfully, gifting it to everyone, and raving all over about it, I'm now using a different product that works just as well and smells a million times better.
