I was so amazed at the quality of the packaging! Everything in plastic bags with the doors having synthetic rubber sheeting wrapped around and between them. No scratches or dents! Foam blocks on the ends prevented any damage from drops, the box was banded and fully taped. This level of quality in manufacturing and price equaled great value. I worked half a day today and only installed one door. The instructions are not detailed, and the drawings not totally accurate. I can t rate performance yet, but the fitment of the one door was spot-on! Looks good. My only complaint is that the striker assemblies are different from side to side, and I found that the striker plates were mis-identified in the instructions. Also the striker bolts are too short. I hope I can find a longer shoulder bolt to make it work!

Sharply written history of a marketing giant!
I found this book to be a very enjoyable read. While the history of a marketing giant such as Gillette may be dry reading for some, McKibben has presented this information in a well-organized and enjoyable fashion.
The historical detail presented in the first three chapters was based on an earlier work by Russell Adams entitled "King C. Gillette - The Man and His Wonderful Shaving Device," which was published in 1978. McKibben's work picks up the history starting in the mid 1970s, and details the people and events that led up to the takeover attempts and proxy battles of the 1980s.
Following those tumultuous years, he follows Gillette's continued growth as a global company expanding into many different markets and product groups around the world.
Sadly, the book finishes around 1997, well before the company's sale to Proctor & Gamble, Gillette's present-day owners.
A very enjoyable read . . . I highly recommend it to those with an interest in business history.
