Saving your eyes
Where was this when I started building 1/35th kits in the 1970's? But I am glad it is available now. the details on the various insignias is tremendous. There is no way I could paint to this detail with my vision so these sheets are a big help. There are many rank choices and styles such as DAK, Feld Gendarmerie and Luftwaffe as well as Heer of course. The nice addition is the badges, ribbons and belt buckles. Plus the arm eagles and gorgets should not be overlooked either.

Who dares,wins.
I bought this kit when it first came out. I was not the experienced modeller back then. I recently read a book about the SAS in North Afrika during WW2, which has always been a particularly fascinating theater of operations for me. It reminded me of when I had this kit and I wanted to built it again and this time, do some justice to the kit.
The plastic kit was as I remembered, clean lines and lots of details. Plenty of extra gear but I have built up a massive spare parts box over the past 40 years so I will add even more because of what I read about these soldiers. The kits offers optional a 50 Cal, M2 or twin light MGs mounted on the hood. This time I will use the twin MG as I used the M2 many years ago.

Nice addition
This is another addition to the line up of Tamiya Sturmgeschutz models. As an early war variant, it fits in well. While not shown in the instructions, this can be used for North Africa by crafting desert air filters, simple to to from a parts box of left overs.
