Float level not working right from the beginning.
1 of 1 found this helpful Made well, but it gave me a lot of problems before I figured out what what wrong. Be sure to install both extra jets that come with the carb or you will have trouble with hesitation on acceleration. Float level not working right from the beginning, fouling plugs, running rich, idle would not go below 1200 rpm. Had to adjust float level by adding another aluminum washer from old carb under the float needle valve. After all that, it worked fine. Also be sure to install Holley pressure regulator before carb and set at 1.5 psi with accurate pressure gauge - very important for good carb operation in dual port 1600 application.
