Another great rod by G.Loomis!
This rod is super sensitive and light and is a joy to catch trout in the 14-15 inch range. I liked it so much that I bought a second one (about a week after the first one). The 6'6" size (1 piece) is perfect for casting light lures. I can generate a lot of whip. Pair it with a Shimano Stradic Ci4 reel and 3-4 pound line and you'll a blast. This particular rod is about $200 less than I what I typically spend on G.Loomis GLX rods, so I was a little worried about the build quality. It's been awesome so far. Can't wait for the fall trout season to start.

Great little reel!
I already have two of the 2500 series. The Stradic 1000 is very light and smooth. I currently have it paired with a 4’6” Lacroix premium rod. Great action when catching trout, crappie and small bass.
