it was exactly as advertised
9 of 9 found this helpful it is the first sims game. with all expansions there is really nothing that can be said about it that hasnt already been said in the last 20 years.
BUT this game is not 100% compatible with modern windows operating systems out of the box..
if anyone out there is haveing the same problem i did, its because new windows is not compatible with the old school DRM (piracy protection) that the sims used. (DISC checks will basically always fail and the game will never launch). there was a fix, i had to find a new version of the sims EXE file that bypasses the DISC check and swap it out with the sims exe file that installed with the rest of the program files. after that the game ran perfectly.
