Too Much Texture
4 of 5 found this helpful A very high quality piece, but the cooking surface is far too textured for my taste. An hour later, After some elbow grease and a 1/2 electric drill and an assortment of pads and some very fine grit sand paper, I had the inside of the pan perfectly smooth, a re-season and I now have the pan I dreamed of. Lodge has taken the method of making the surface of the pans a bit rough so they hold onto the factory seasoning. Either way, a very high quality product that will last for generations if properly cared for.

Looks weird but performs!
Once you get used to the weird look, it becomes a trusted performer. So much better than the "standard" design wedges.
