It's a sleeper and has a great soundtrack to boot!
1 of 1 found this helpful I don't care for 90% of the cop or crime drama shows on TV, don't like westerns, and think folks put too much emphasis on certain actors-having said that, I love this show!
Casting did an excellent job finding the right actors for respective parts, and the multiple stories (spanning the entire season and in each episode) are all excellent. Season 1 was so good, I had to wonder how long they could keep it up-looks like they made it to about episode 5 of the new season before a few mediocre episodes appeared.
I've been so disappointed in movies lately that I rarely go (they confuse motion with action), and one thing I really miss is the soundtracks-new movies went south long before the soundtracks-season 1 has a great soundtrack, and I don't care for country music! I had to go hunting for the music, but here's a few I've found: Ten Million Slaves by Otis Taylor, You Left Me Lefty by United Steelworkers of Montreal,
Sans Soleil by Miike Snow (yup, two 'I's' in Miike),
Someday I'll Be Forgiven For This by Justin Townes Earle,
You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive by Brad Paisley,
Little Lovin' by Lissie (music from season 2 trailer).
I gave season 1 to a relative that normally would not give a show like this a second glance, and they blew through all 13 episodes in short order!

Works well on my cat!
1 of 1 found this helpful I try to use it once a day on my cat - he's not enthused, but he also doesn't run away from it.
It definitely pulls the hair out and helps his coat look smooth.
Regular use also seems to have cut out those unpleasant furballs.

2 of 2 found this helpful As a non-diehard SciFi fan (there's a lot of bad SciFi out these days), I reluctantly resigned myself to watching this after leaving it in the player for 2 weeks - I shouldn't have waited!
Not a Tom Cruise fan, but this is one heckuva movie.
1. It actually HAS a story, with a number of twists & turns.
2. Great CGI, with the added bonus that the CGI is not overpowering - it simply draws you in as part of the story.
3. His "bubble ship" was pretty darn cool, and I knew immediately what craft inspired its design.
4. Fantastic score by M83 - I ended up getting the soundtrack.
