Ideal for small files requiring off line storage

Wide OS support
This works in Windows, Linux and VMware ESXi. Sturdy construction with a recess for the USB plug. Small activity light confirms network traffic.
Not something you're likely to need every day but it can help you in a tight spot.

Small yet very powerful
This is the Swiss army knife of networking as you can see from its emulator at the TP-Link website (search for: emulator site:tp-link.com).
It consumes no more than 180 mA which is well below the maximum current from a USB port. This means that it can happily be powered from a Raspberry Pi upwards.
The form factor is truly pocket sized at three fingers square and one wide, with minimalist design; USB micro power socket, gigabit ethernet, recessed reset button and green status LED. The latter will need some electrical tape if you use the router in a bedroom. Needless to say, there is no space for a fan so it is completely silent.
