DPM--great train observer and writter
David P Morgan was one of the finest writters on railroad history of the 21st century. He was an avid train watcher from his youth. His love for rail never wavered. As editor of TRAINS magazine he had to satisfy the nostalgic steam readers, and acknowledge that the GMC 103 diesel test of 1939- 1940 had suddenly proven the superiority of diesel technology over steam. His article in TRAINS , "The Diesel That Did It" gave proper place to the 2nd greatest event in rail history.
The ""Confessions" is worth of the great DPM.
