Great product, step back on emptying procedure but okay

These are good machines but require attention from time to time
I have two of these, both bought "used". One was clearly used and did not work great right out of the box. This most recent one appears new and unused and made great clear cubes from the start. I read a lot of comments about them not working or stopping working but there are little things that keep them working for me,
The upkeep. The first one that had clearly been used made a few cycles of better, more dense ice than the standards fridge but not truly clear. A few attempts to clean helped but what finally got it going was a professional ice maker cleaner. I used Affresh but there are several in the same container shape branded differently, I suspect they are all the same. cycle that through a few times and then catch it for later use when you drain the machine. I then ran a couple of cycles of water. I then used filtered water. I tried rain water but then used city water put through a Zerowater filter. It says not to use distilled because the water level sensor relies on some dissolved solids to tell when water needs to be added but even with Zerowater both of my units work great and produce diamond clear ice.
The used unit has produced without issue since cleaning.
Other complaint is that ice is wet or attached in a grid. Both things are true for me. Plan to remove ice from icemaker, place in a freezer storage bag in your freezer and whack on a hard surface to break up before using. The ice is clear and looks like ice in the ads for tea and better than looks is that the ice is hard, lasting and does not have refrigerator ice taste.

Powerful, quiet and gets the job done on a charge
It is surprisingly powerful, comparable to gas, and much easier to use. For a typical homeowner one charge will do it. Quiet enough to be neighbor friendly and powerful enough to trim some pretty woody weeds..
