I have always wanted one of these.
I came across one of these when I was a very young boy and it such an odd pocketknife that i wanted one for a long long time. In the meantime i have been in the Navy and actually learned what the marlin spike was for (having seen it in action) I had forgotten about all that with the hustle and bustle of life. Perchance I came upon this auction and all those childhood memories came back into my mind. I immediately plunked down the buy it now price and and waited for it to arrive. Smooth action and a lock on the spike (released by pressing down on the metal loop shown at the top of the picture) make working with line and rope more pleasant than otherwise. It would be nice if the blade had a lock. I do appreciate the larger than normal fingernail catch that helps to open the blade. With good quality construction and good feel in the hand, I find myself fiddling with this pocketknife while it is sitting in my pocket (probably not the best idea) This is a wonderful helper if you (as I am) are making things with paracord. I have told my son, that if he goes into the Navy, I would get him one and have engraved.
