Absolutely happy with this Ice Cream Mak...
Absolutely happy with this Ice Cream Maker Attachment. Appears brand new. Would not hesitate to buy from KitchenAid Official Store again.

Too quick to overheat
The first time I used this mixer was to make butter pecan ice cream and it worked flawlessly.
When I used it a few days later to make bread there was a little problem. When the dough had just come together and it was time to start the kneading, which I usually use the mixer to do due to health problems, the mixer stopped working. Apparently the overheat protection kicked in even though the mixer didn't feel hot at all. I had to wait 20 minutes to get the mixer to turn on again.
I don't feel that my upgrade to this model was worth it. My previous model was supposed to be much less powerful but had no problem kneading bread dough. Only advantage is a 2 quart larger bowl.
